Barb Anderson Middle School Teacher   Email: banderson@eldoradops.com Phone: (480) 502-6878 extension 113   My name is Barb Anderson and I am so excited to be a part of the middle school team at El Dorado Private School.  I am the

sixth through eighth grade English teacher at EDPS.  I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Education and English from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas, and hold teaching certificates in Texas and Arizona.

I have had the privilege of teaching middle school students for 20 years, starting my career in Texas and continuing in Arizona.  After moving to Arizona in 1994, I began teaching middle school language arts at a private school in Paradise Valley, and remained there for fourteen years.  In 2007, I joined a charter school teaching language arts and social studies to 6th-8th graders.

I am married and have two boys, Matt, who is a senior at the University of North Carolina Greensboro, and Casey, who is a sophomore at Desert Mountain High School in Scottsdale, Arizona.  Completing our family is our adorable golden retriever, Sammie.  In my spare time, I enjoy reading, exercising at the gym, shopping and watching my kids' sporting events.  I am thrilled to be here at El Dorado Private School and look forward to a new year and new faces.
