I am a
Graduate of Linfield College with degrees in Anthropolgy and
Sociology. I then studied at the Pacific Basin School of
Textile Art in Berkeley. In 1985, I established a
successful family operated textile business here in Cave
Creek. Then I expanded my horizon into glass art which led
to my next business endeavor, Free’style Studios, a company
I created specializing in fused glass artwork, sold
internationally as well as here in the US. In 2004, I
augmented my studies by receiving a Teaching Certification
from Arizona State University and an Art Endorsement from
the University of Phoenix in 2005.
I am
currently celebrating my 10th year as the Art Teacher here at
El Dorado Private School, teaching Kindergarten through 8th
grade. My curriculum not only focuses on Art production but
also Art History, Art Criticism and Aesthetics with the
Elements and Principles of Design as the cornerstone of my
program. I also offers several after school classes here at
El Dorado Private School.
