Since the age of three, when
my mother operated a private preschool in Kansas, I have
always wanted to be a teacher. I received a Bachelor's
Degree in Elementary Education, a Master's in Elementary
Education and 30 hours of Special Education at Arizona State
University. My mother, Virginia Berry, and I began El
Dorado Private School as a family-owned and operated
preschool in 1970 after receiving my first degree.
Since its inception, it has grown from a two room, nine student
school to a multi-grade level campus.
My career began as a
pre-kindergarten and then kindergarten teacher. I have
used my 40 years of teaching experience to lead innovative
teaching styles, implement individualized curriculum
standards and low student/teacher ratios, and create a
family-like atmosphere for teachers, staff, students, and
families. Utilizing my knowledge and expertise, the results
of my guidance and direction have led El Dorado Private
School to the forefront of academics, which can be measured
by reviewing the SAT-10 annual test results.
