My name is
Roxanne Scoville. I have been at El Dorado since January
2002 and have been in the teaching field for twenty-five
years. I was born and raised in the beautiful state of
Iowa. I graduated from Iowa State University in 1982.
After teaching fourth grade in Iowa for three years, I
moved to Arizona. While teaching in the Tempe Public
Schools I received my Master’s Degree.
My love
for children has brought me into the world of education.
Teaching children is an amazing experience. Each day is a
day to be cherished. The children give as much to me as I
give to them - sometimes more. My classroom becomes a
small community that develops over the school year. When
developing a community, mutual respect and open
communication is required. I encourage this behavior by
making my classroom a safe haven for my students. Once they
feel secure, a positive, fun learning atmosphere is created
and learning can begin. I invite you to visit the classroom
any time you want and experience the joy I experience daily.
