A Letter From The Principal

Dear Parents,

Searching for the right school and environment for your child(ren) is one of the most important decisions a parent must make. Your decision will profoundly influence your child(ren) for years to come. As you consider your options, I hope to provide you with information about our school and programs.

Our academic programs are student-centered with a special emphasis on building strong foundations, engaging students in the learning process, providing avenues of creativity and development through small teacher/student ratios. Hands-on, minds-on activities bring students to high levels of thinking and application. We believe in the development of a well rounded student. Our fine arts program provides opportunities for students to build skills beginning in Kindergarten and continuing through Eighth Grade. El Dorado Private School students learn to play different instruments, sing in a chorus and participate in an arts program as a regular part of our curriculum. For students interested in further expanding their horizons, we also provide extra-curricular activities, clubs and athletics.

We have an incredible staff and a stellar student body. Our parents value education and support the school with their time and talents. Since 1970, EDPS has proudly educated thousands of children, many of whom grow up and enroll the next generation of their family in our program. It’s exciting to know that so many prior students wanted to give their child(ren) the unique educational experience they themselves had as El Dorado Private School students. Come and see what we have and how fast we are growing. Let us share our spirit with you. We are educating today’s students for tomorrow’s world.

I hope our website conveys the warmth and enthusiasm of our dynamic community of students, teachers, staff and parents and the unparalleled curriculum and learning environment that we at El Dorado Private School are proud to offer. Thank you for taking the time to view the pages of our site. Please do not hesitate to contact us with questions. We want you to have all the information you need as you discern what is best for your child(ren).

Sincerely,

Linda L. McDermott
Principal
